2 canned beans (400 gr)
1 bottle of Heinz BBQ sauce (250 ml)
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 was dafin
2 thyme threads (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons oil
a few sprigs of parsley
pepper, salt

Preparation Fast bean stew

  1. Fry finely chopped onions in hot oil. When softened, add the crushed garlic. Cook for another minute.
  2. Add the BBQ sauce and water (or beer, if not fasting) as it enters the sauce bottle. Add the bay leaf, thyme, a little pepper and lemon juice. Boil over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the drained beans (but not very well, leave a little liquid) and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. He likes salt.

Ingredients Pea stalks (Erwtensoep)

300 gr kaizer
4 potatoes
1 leek
2-3 slices of celery root
1 small onion
3 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
500 gr peas (I put canned food, it can also be used fresh or frozen)
salt, pepper, paprika

Preparation Pea (Erwtensoep)

  1. Cut the kaizer into slices, clean the onion and grow it in 4. Put 1 liter of water in a pot and add the kaizer, onion, garlic and bay leaf. Let it boil on medium heat for 20-30 minutes
  2. When the kaizer is boiled, remove from the soup and toss the onion, garlic and bay leaf.
  3. Meanwhile, clean the vegetables and cut the potatoes and celery into cubes, the leeks into rounds. Put these vegetables in the remaining soup and cook for another 20 minutes.
  4. Boiled kaizer is cut into smaller slices or cubes.
  5. When the vegetables are cooked, drain the soup. Don't throw away the soup, you should have about a cup of soup left. The vegetables are pureed.
  6. Put the puree again in the pot, season with salt, pepper and paprika and bring to a boil over low to medium heat. Slowly add the soup to the puree, stirring constantly. It takes about 5 minutes.
  7. Drain the peas.
    * If you make it with fresh peas, after removing the vegetables from the soup, boil the peas, add a little more water and let them boil. Then drain the peas and continue the recipe normally.
  8. Add the peas and kaizer to the food and let it boil.
  9. Serve as such or with fried sausages. Good appetite!

Some tricks for boiling beans:

You can also put 1 bell pepper, I didn't have it now.

Bring to a boil until the vegetables are well penetrated. Strain the vegetables well into the juice, but keep a cup of this juice.

Mix vigorously, using a fork or a wooden spoon, like mayonnaise, gradually adding the oil.
